Janet Jackson: Put It On U

One of the tracks Janet Jackson recorded during the Damita Jo album sessions is now available for download. It sounds a bit like a demo for J. Lo to record, so that may be why it didn't make the cut for the album, but it's worth a listen. Janet is expected to release a new single this year from the Rush Hour 3 soundtrack. Hopefully she can get her career back on track and continue performing like only she can. Click the link below for a zip file containing audio of the song. Kelly Clarkson's "My December" out June 26!

Much has been made in the media of Kelly Clarkson's struggle to ensure her new album, My December, gets released as she recorded it. The record label wasn't happy with her finished product and was trying to get Kelly to record and add more polished, mainstream songs to the album before releasing it. Kelly, however, stood true to her vision and wouldn't give in to their requests. While agreeing it is not as mainstream as her last work, she is extremely happy with the project and sequenced the album so it tells a story from beginning to end. Her hard work and determination paid off and as a result, on June 26 you can pick up a copy to decide who was right! Till then, enjoy the above video which features clips of Kelly performing live at the opening show of her Addicted Tour in West Palm Beach on June 30, 2006. It includes clips of new songs which may or may not make it onto the new album and ends with a Kelly classic.
